“There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.  For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and death.” Romans 8:1-2 NRSV

We all stumble and fall at times in life.  It is easy for those decisions and actions to become the definition of our lives, and may make us feel unlovable and unforgivable.  However, God disagrees… 

God created, chose, and loves you and includes you in his beloved family.  Here at St. Dysmas, guided by the Holy Spirit and through the promises given in Jesus Christ, we welcome all to this family.  We are here to proclaim God’s mercy and grace to all.  We are here to give a shoulder to lean on, an ear to hear and above all, to be open to the many plans God has for you.  This is God’s mission for us to the people we serve behind bars.

We are called to teach and preach Jesus Christ as the light in darkness, to trust in God’s word of forgiveness, and to praise God in all that we do. 

No matter who you are or what you have done, God loves you, claims you, forgives you and invites you into his eternal family. Salvation and eternal life are yours when you have faith in Jesus Christ.
